What is a Lockformer?

Lockforming is a metal-folding process used on thin sheetmetal to lock two fabricated sections together to create ducting, boxes, square pipes, gutters and more . A roll forming process is used, typically motorised, to draw the sheet into several stages consisting of roll sets that form the "Pittsburgh" lock and several different profiles.  The sheets are then locked together to enable the fabrication of various different products.

Lockformers are used extensively in the HVAC, ducting, roofing and cladding industries.
